Ogo Bodhu Shundori (Bengali)
This beautiful and romantic song is sung by Our nightingale and Babul Supriyo. The name of the movie is Ogo Bodhu Shundori, I know that most Bengali's will think that I'm probably talking about the old one, but I'm not. This is a new movie starring Babul Supriyo himself. All the songs in the movie are a replica of the songs from the earlier one but not this track. This track is completely new and a fresh composition.
The song runs for approximately 3 Minutes and 42 Seconds. The song starts off with light, heart touching music played by various instruments such as : acoustic guitar, strings etc. Babul Supriyo starts off the song right after the short string solo by singing "ek sholaj hanshi, kajol chahoni" which means "beautiful smile and eyes with kajal on them". After Babul Supriyo finished the first few line, We hear out diva sing "Aaj shopna rogin..kotha jai bolo naa" with her cute, beautiful and angelic voice.
The first interlude of the song is well supported by the electric guitar, drums, piano and the beautiful sound of the flute playing at the end.
Babul Supriyo starts the second verse and our diva follows him later on in the verse singing just a line with such emotions entirely portrayed through the use of her voice.
The second interlude involves the same instruments used in the first interlude but the melody and rhythm changes.
Our Nightingale starts to belt out her cute, honey soaked voice in the third verse singing with passion and we can actually hear the emotions involved in the song, once again portrayed by our diva.
Right after the third verse which was beautifully sung by our diva,We hear the first verse being repeated by Babul Supriyo and our nightingale.
This amazing song finally comes to end with Babul supriyo and our diva singing one after the other in the song possibly trying to convince each other. The male character tries to convince the female that she is beautiful and female says she is just a burden. We also hear a cute laugh by our nightingale before the song ends. The voices slowly fade off .
Overall this song is an beautiful song supported well by every instrument used and once again Hatts off to our diva and Babul Supriyo for giving us a song that we will cherish forever :)

Our diva sings a telugu song for Salim Suleiman!!
One of Indian Idol 5's most talented singers, Shreeramchandra, has just bagged his first big break, courtesy composers Salim-Suleiman Merchant.
Shreeram recorded this love song with Shreya Ghosal. The song will be picturised on the film's lead pair, Siddharth (Rang De Basanti, Striker) and Shruti Hassan (Luck).
What was it like to record with Shreya?
"I consider myself lucky that I am doing playback with Shreya Ghosal. This is like my first break."
"When I first met her, I was surprised to know she had heard me in Indian Idol. She said I was one of her favourite contestants and she appreciated my singing. She felt I was apt for this particular song."
"Though we didn't record together, it was a pleasure to meet her after my recording"

Dochey (Telugu)
Movie : Komran Pulli
Finally the most awaited TELUGU song of our diva is out!!..It release a few days ago and is now available for download.
This rocking song once again like "Gelluba Gelluba" shows our diva's versatility. This song is sung by Lady Krissy, Lady Kash and our diva!
The song runs for approximately 4 minutes and 22 seconds. The music director is AR Rahman and I'm having a premonition this song will get an award. The genre hip hop and peppy and the instruments used are modern.
The song starts with a very catchy beat followed by a kind of rappy saying by Lady Krissy " You...make the bad guys cry". We hear our diva hum in the beginning but she doesn't come into the song yet!
Our diva comes in after the first interlude, just like in the beginning Lady Krissy starts to rap "You..make the bad guys cry". Our nightingale adds a soothing touch to the song by her harkats but right after the peppy beat starts our diva totally changed her tune into peppy.Wow..only top class singers can do that, from soothing to peppy.
The third verse follows the same pattern like the second verse. Our diva sings in a soothing tune then suddenly her voice turns peppy. At the end of the song we can hear our diva and Lady Kash sing "Dochey..." followed by Lady Krissy rapping "You...make the bad guys cry"
Overall this songs a peppy, rocking side. Once again our diva has shown her versatility and left me and other fans speechless. She can easily change from an soothing note to an peppy note, Hatts off to all the singers and especially our diva for giving us such an wonderful song.
PS:- Even you don't understand Telugu like me you should just listen to the music and gain something from it like I'm gaining a lot of knowledge from this music.
Listen to the song below :-

~ Ee Preethi Bandakshana~ (Kannada)
Movie : Preethiya Loka
This beautiful song is sung by Karthik and our diva. The song is runs for approximately 4 minutes and 52 seconds. The genre is romantic and the instruments used are fairly modern instruments.
This beautiful , romantic song starts with a tune played on the acoustic guitar followed by light high hats beats by the drum and Karthik singing " EE preethi..". Right after Karthik finished the first line we hear the honey soaked melodious voice of our diva singing "EE Sanji...". The same pattern is followed for the first verse all over. For the second verse our diva starts singing first with her soulful voice and Karthak follows.
The piece in this song that will truly touch your hearts in this song is the first instruments when our diva and Karthik hum in harmony. Karthik sings the high notes whilst Shreya sings the lower notes. The voices gel perfectly with each other and instruments.
For the third verse the same pattern follows as the second verse. Note the way our diva smiles at 03:40, she sounds extremely beautiful and awesome.
Overall the entire song is an amazing song and I'm totally addicted to it as well as you will be after hearing this song. The tune played on guitar adds a Spanish touch to the song which is just beautiful in its own way.
Our nightingale has put so much emotions into this song and conveyed such a lovely message about love to the audience ( which she always does in every single song she sings.). Karthik has sung with emotions as well and has done a great job. We hope to hear more of Karthik and Shreya Ghoshal duets in the future. Hatts off to both the singers and especially Shreya Ghoshal, for giving such an lovely song.

Sol Pechu - Thillalangadi (Tamil)
Hey, Readers!!
Back with a new and fresh tamil track!
The genre is definitely POP
-----------------------------------------------
This awesome track is sung by Chitra,Yuvan (Music Composer) & Our diva SHREYA GHOSHAL!!!
This tracks runs for approximately 4:58 minutes.
The song starts with Chitra singing "nananaanan" along with a techno voice covering the humming. A few second later Yuvan follows singing a light tune. After the tune sung by Yuvan, Chitra starts singing "Sol Pechu...".
We hear our diva's voice at approx 1;02 belting out a wonderful and fast tune with a totally different rhythm compared to the start of the song, In fact a new aspect of the song.
At 1:53 Yuvan starts to sing in a style that sounds similar to the techniques of rapping but is actually quite different. Soon after he finishes our melody queen belts out her melodious voice and adds harkats in every line which sounds absolutely devine and soothing to listeners ears.
After the short instrumental solo our melody queen belts out her amazing honey soaked voice and sings in the same rhythm as she sang last the last verse in but with different lyrics again adding beautiful harkats to them.
This rocking song finally ends with Yuvan singing the same tune as he started the song with.
Overall this song is truly amazing and rocking. Every singer got equal parts n the song and once again Shreya's harkats in the songs and every line she sang were amazing, soothing and rocking.
Hope you guys enjoy the song!!..:)
Hatts off to all the singers and a very big thanks to Shreya for giving us yet another amazing rendition!

26th June - Shreya Ghoshal Day =)
American state Ohio has honoured Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal for her contribution to the music industry by declaring June 26 as ‘Shreya Ghoshal Day’.
An ecstatic Shreya wrote on microblogging site Twitter: ‘26th june is declared Shreya Ghoshal Day in Ohio. The First Lady of the State presented me this honour while I was performing yesterday (Saturday).
‘It’s an honour which has been given to personalities, artists n (and) literates since many years. I was informed that (Rabindranath) Tagore, Swami Vivekananda were the recipients that time. I was too overwhelmed at this thought. My name went into the same archives. Unimaginable!!’ she added.

Recent songs =)
Dear Readers.
I could not post any reviews or any other news of the diva as I was on my work experience and had assessment tasks. It was a bit hectic but now since its my winter holidays Ill post the recent songs of the diva and write reviews (a paragraph each)
The songs in the order of their release
- Kajraare - 2 songs - duet with Himesh Rashimiya (as usual Shreya has only got a few lines and the rest of the slot in the duration of the song is given to Himesh)
- Khuda mere Khuda (krantiveer) - Duet with KK - Awesome song. Totally addictive, This song uses double voices and also techno and pop beats. Our melody queen sounds awesome n rocking!
- Dangal (kushti) - Duet with the composer himself Sreenivas - Fun filled and a beautiful song, The short alaap by Shreya once again like all her alaaps and songs transform you to a totally different world.
- Milenge Milenge (MM) - 2 versions (first version) duet with Himesh - Lovely, haunting song. In this song both singers are given equal opportunities and lines. Himesh sounds really different, To be frank and honest,He doesn't sound nasal in the song (a great improvement). Shreya sounds gorgeous.
- HariyeJay (bengali - Hangover) - duet with Babul Supriyo - Pop song. Love the way shreya starts humming in the song. Lovely song. Great dance number
- Pagol mon re ( Version 1 (solo) - Bengali - Ekti taraar khonje) - Woow..Amazing song. This song is beautifully supported by jazzy beats and a male choir - Note : The way Shreya has sung each and evey line with so many different emotions and harkats (woow)
- Pagol mon re (version 2 -duet with Shaan - Ekti taraar khonje) - Awsum song. The only difference in this version is that the tempo is slowed down a bit. The first verse is sung by Shaan and the chorus sung by the male choir. The second line is sung by Shreya but in this version our diva holds onto the note reaching high scales while shaan continues.
- Mr Singh Mrs Mehta ( 2 songs :- 1 solo and the other duet with Udit Narayan)
2. Behosh Nasha - duet - As you all might have read the article on "google news " about the classic revival and how ustaad stated that this song is of a mixed genre (semi-classical) . Well this song is indeed semi classical, A lot of modern instruments are used which supported by classical instrument. Its a romantic track and Shreya and Udit ji once again like Bari piya and all their other songs creates magic using their soulful and classical voices.

An Enchantress casts her Spell :)
As minutes turned into hour, the stage needed to be engaged. Kuntal Banerjee, an upcoming singer from Kolkata, was the opening act. Kuntal is a capable vocalist, no doubt, and he belted out a decent cover of Kailash Kher's Sufi hit “Teri Deewani” but unfortunately for him, it was a tough audience who were there for the main course and were not really appeased by the appetizer.
As he tried to work the audience, the singer rendered a Rabindra Sangeet, “Ami Chini Go Chini Tomarey”; a Kishore Kumar classic, “Neele Neele Ambar” and a Bappi Lahiri hit du jour, “Chirodin-i Tumi Je Amar”.
Around 7:30 pm, the wait was over. Four Indian National Film Awards winner, multilingual Bengali singer Shreya Ghoshal took the stage and like butter the full house seemingly melted under her charm.
Shreya began with a rendition of the song that gave her the seminal big break in the Mumbai-based film industry -- “Silsila Ye Chaahat Ka” from the film “Devdas”.
The songstress's rise to fame has not exactly been a Cinderella story but more of a steady recognition of her talent. As a child she won the children's special episode of the talent hunt “Sa Re Ga Ma” (now “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”) on Zee TV. Renowned musician Kalyanji who judged the competition, convinced Shreya's parents to move to Mumbai. She caught the attention of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali when she participated in “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa” for a second time. In 2000, he offered her the opportunity to lend her voice to Paro, the female lead of his film “Devdas”. This soundtrack earned her a Filmfare Award (her first) for Best Female Playback Singer. She also won her first National Film Award for the song “Bairi Piya” (from “Devdas”).
She has done playback for over 140 films and worked with all major Indian music directors, including Ilayaraja, AR Rahman, Anu Malik, Himesh Reshammiya, MM Keeravani, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Pritam. Besides Hindi and her mother tongue Bangla, Shreya also sings in Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.
What sets Shreya apart from her contemporaries is perhaps the same quality that distinguishes iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar -- an innate ability to channel a sort of inner purity, and turn up the heat when necessary with equal ease.
For the soundtrack of “Delhi-6” AR Rahman superimposed the original rendition of Raga Gujari Todi by the legendary Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan with the vocals of Shreya. There must be a reason why Rahman chose Shreya. The late Ustad is undoubtedly a maestro, last heard in an Indian film almost half a century back (“Mughal-e-Azam”). But what's astounding is how Shreya keeps up with the legend with a kind of poise that can only come from a solid background in classical music.
Shreya's repertoire at the Dhaka concert included her recent and not-so-recent popular songs from films. With “Chalo Tumko Lekar Chale” (from “Jism”), she invited the audience to set out on a musical journey. With “Wada Raha Pyar Se” (from “Khakee”), she professed her love for her fans.
The diva continued to segue from one hit to another: “Agar Tum Mil Jao”, “Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai”, “Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai”, “Teri Ore”, “Shukran Allah” and more.
The Rabindra Sangeet inspired “Piya Bole” (from “Parineeta”) was greeted with rounds of applause and cheer. But what brought the house down was a spirited rendition of “Ami Je Tomar/ Mere Dholna”. “Spirited” because it was as if the crooner was invoking the much-feared spirit, Manjulika, from the film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”. Haunting indeed.
In between, the audience sang along with the artiste and Shreya had this to say about the Dhaka music enthusiasts at the show: “Not one of you is out of tune! Incredible!”
The show was managed by Mirror Media & Production Ltd and organised by The Financial Mirror, a national business weekly.

Bahara - I hate Luv Storys (Hindi)
This song is from the movie named : I hate luv storys which Starr's Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan.
This song is sung by our one and only Nightingale : SHREYA GHOSHAL!! :)
and yes! its a solo!
The genre is definitely Romantic and Bhangra as some aspects of Bhangra were added to this song and there is a mixture of instruments used that are Eastern as well as Western!
The song starts off with a bhangra tune playing followed by another female singer singing in a deep voice " o thoda sajan ayo thora des".
At approx 00:37 our nightingale starts to sing with her honey soaked voice "Sooyi Sooyi" followed by the chorus singing "Bahara" which is then followed by the other female singer at the start of the song singing the same lines.
The second verse starts after the piano piece in the first interlude followed by a funky bhangra beat and tune. The way our princess has sang this song just instantly touches your hearts and also gets your body moving! (Dancing!). I loved the way she sing "Voooo...Kabhi dekhe zameen pein....yehhhhh nazar kahein".
In the second interlude the other unknown female singer starts to sing " Preet mein" accompanied by a little bhangra tune, After this our melody queen starts to belt her honey soaked, soothing voice out by humming "AAAaa" accompanied by a group of strings which play the exact same tune that Shreya sings.
In the next verse the same melody as in verse 2 repeats itself followed by chorus
At 04:22 our nightingale sings the first verse again but this time in a few of the words echo and make it sound like techno followed by the chorus "Bahara x2 Hua dil pehle ve"
The song ends with the other unknown female singing the exact line as she started the songs with and this groovy, lovely song ends.
I also love the way Our Nightingale sings "Bahara" it just touches truly touches my heart!

From Reality show to Playback Stardom :) (Shreya's Musical Journey) ^_^
Growing up with music
I spent about 13 years of my childhood in Rawatbhata, a small village near Kota, Rajasthan. It was a township, which was cut off from the urban city life. I used to travel 10 KM up and down to Kota to learn music. I learnt classical Hindustani there. In fact, one of my initial achievements was at this place. I was nine years old then. I didn’t get the opportunity to learn Carnatic music. Then 'Sa Re Ga Ma' gave me a lot of exposure. But my first big break was singing for 'Devdas'.
Inspiration from family
My mom is a housewife and my dad an engineer. We Bengalis simply love music. My mother has been my musical inspiration and even today I look up to her opinion — be it criticism or appreciation. I need her guidance forever. But my dad silently appreciates me and whatever I am today is because of him.
Reality shows — then and now?
When I won 'Sa Re Ga Ma', the platform didnt actually become a reality show. It wasn’t that big or commercial. There wasn’t an audience reaction like today. TV itself was not that big those days. Judges in such shows used to be big names from classical music such as Zakir Hussain, Girija Devi and the like. But now the format has changed a lot. People from all over the world watch these shows, therefore the reach is bigger. Audiences make heroes out of their singers. I believe that the scope for classical music still exists, which I realised when I was doing 'Music Ka Maha Muqabla'.
Your take on mobile auditions
It is yet another platform which is commercially beneficiary to audiences. I feel it’s a good move. And as we live in a fast paced world, innovation is the key to success. There was a time when audio cassettes were popular and then audio CDs took over. But now it is the age of Internet downloads and mobile downloads.
Your take on remixes
I haven’t done a remix song as yet although some songs of mine have been remixed. Honestly I liked the original versions better. I'm okay with doing a remix as long as it enhances the song. I feel music enthusiasts do a fantastic job with remixes.
Is the music industry’s still a man’s world?
I would not completely agree with it. It’s a phase. Currently, it is Sufi music that is the trend and that is a male-dominated area. But things will not be the same forever.
About being a versatile singer
All that I can say is I pay close attention to the music director and lyricist when the concept and situation of a song is being explained. I write down the lyrics in Devanagri marking all the places with required accents. I try my best to sing it as perfectly as possible. But there have been occasions when I have made mistakes and I read the reviews on the Internet. I only try to improve myself.
Current projects
My next in Tamil will be 'Endhiran' and 'I Hate Luv Stories' in Hindi.
Role Model
My role model has always been Lataji.
Music director you want to work with?
Harris Jeyaraj. I have sung for 'Anniyan', one of his projects. It so happened that whenever a possibility of a project would come up with him, it would not materialise owing to some reason or the other.
Would love to playback for?
Waheeda Rehman. How I wish I could sing for those B/W movies of hers.
AR Rahman
For me he has always been iconic and always full of surprises. It was for 'Enakku 20 Unakku 18' when I sang 'Azhagiya Askava'. That was my foray in Tamil. After that, it was only for 'Sillunu Oru Kadhal' that I sang 'Munbe Vaa', which went on to become a hit. Following that 'Vinnaithadi Varuvaya' and now 'Raavan'. He never repeats genres in his works and is the only music director whom I have seen working late till night. I have enjoyed working with him. I admire his patience. Thanks to him, I have experimented with so many genres.
Chennai
I am in awe of the music, the singers and music directors of the city. That apart, whenever I am here, I visit Saravana Bhavan and eat idlis and chutneys from Murugan Idli Kadai. I love the Chettinadu cuisine here.
Rapid Fire:
Can’t live without: My phone, just switched loyalties with Blackberry
Most prized possession: It’s an old Harmonium that I first used when I started to learn music.
Favourite show: How I met Your Mother
Style statement: A pair of jeans and white shirt
Fitness mantra: Treadmill and cardio.
Love to dig into: Thai cuisine, followed by Bengali cuisine and Kongunadu
What are you humming at the moment:
'Jo Dil Mein Kushi', a Lataji and Hemant Kumar composition — my all-time favourite
Favourite book: Jhumpa Lahiri’s The Namesake and The Unaccustomed Earth
Unforgettable lesson at school: It used to be the little quarrels during my school days. I was both the noisemaker and the newsmaker
Your biggest fear: Music should never become a burden
Favourite singers: P Susheela and S Janaki
Lyricists : Gen X lyricists are doing a great job
If not a playback singer: I'd have become a scientist

Kalvare (TAMIL) from Raavan
Yes!!...Finally the Ravaan Tamil songs have released!!..I was eagerly waiting for the release of Kalvare!.Lets talk about the song now!
The song runs for approximately 03:49!..
Kalvare is the tamil verson of Khilli re (hindi version) and is from the movie RAAVAN which stars : Aishwariya Rai , Tamil actor and Abhishek Bachan in the hindi version
This beautiful, lovely song starts off with the dholak and the flute playing a beautiful rhythum. At 00:00:20 seconds our princess starts singing "Kalvare..Kalvare", the song instantly touches your heart. After the first verse a beautiful piece of music is played by the flute supported by the chorus humming.
In the second verse our princess is supported by broken chords played by the synthesiser .
Throught out the song the dholak ryhthum is repeated. The song ends with our nightingale singing "Kalvare..kalvare" but in a moderately high note just at the end of the song and the dholak and flute rhythums repeat itself until this lovely song ends! :)
Needless to say Shreya has completely overshadowed Reena Bhardwaj who sang Khilli re!
As usual Shreya sounds absolutely lovely in this Track!
Hatts off to Shreya and Arr Rahman..Once again they have created magic through music!

"National Award made me conscious":Shreya
She’s won the National Award for the second consecutive year. And it’s by no means a small achievement for the 25-year-old.
This is also her fourth National Award. Predictably, Shreya Ghoshal is still over the moon after the announcement. “It definitely feels great. But you know what? I’m really nervous. That’s because now, there is more responsibility on me,” said the singer when Hyderabad Times spoke to her. “Now, I have to keep delivering better music everyday. I can’t be laidback and let it all slip through. I don’t want to disappoint anyone.”
But the award is more special to the velvet voiced singer since she has won it for not one but two songs — Jiv Dangla from the Marathi film Jogva and Pherari Mon from the Bangla movie Antaheen. “Today one finds melody missing in most numbers. But these songs only prove that there are melodious tunes in movies too,” says Shreya.
On winning the award for songs in regional languages, Shreya says, “Bollywood film music composers are under a lot of pressure to add elements of disco or bhangra or any other flavour currently popular with the youth. But when it comes to regional films, composers are given a free hand and they compose music they believe in. I think it’s a matter of great pride to be singing such soulful tunes,” she says.
And when she’s not busy at the recording studios, Shreya is doing a weekend television show, Music Ka Maha Muqabala. Apart from exercising her vocal chords the singer has presented herself as a young, stylish and vibrant individual before her audience. “It’s fun to break stereotypes. I like being myself and my outfits reflect that. As far as performances are concerned, I connect best with the audience at live concerts. For those who can’t come to see me perform live, this show gives them an opportunity to catch me singing on stage. Trust me I just love it,” she confesses.
So what next? “Well, the National Award has made me more conscious about the choices I make in life. And no matter what language I sing in —Tamil, Telugu, Bangla or Bhojpuri — my aim will be to give it 200 per cent.”

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya!!!
Wow!!! Amazing are the words to decribe this song!!
This is Shreya's first tamil song of the year. What a way to start 2010 with this incredible song! :)
Its a duet by the legend AR Rahman and our melody queen Shreya Ghoshal!
This heart touching song has many different instruments involoved.
Some of them are :
1.Keyboard/Synthesiser
2. Drums
3. Piano
4. Guitar
5. Strings
The genre of this song is definitely classical, romantic and pop!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The song is titled " Maanipaaya" meaning " will you forgive me?"..This songs all about asking for forgiveness
This amazing song starts off with the synthesiser/keyboard and strings playing a chord. Then comes in our nightingale with her honey soaked voice! signing the first few lines..
This song is beautifully supported by percussions. The drums - especially when the maestro Rahman sir starts to sing..his lines..
Shreya's renditions for this song is amazing. Well one of a kind!.The way she plays with notes singing in different tunes " Maanipaaya" is just magical!
These two legends through out the song have belted out soulful, soothing , light music..
shreya and Ar rahmans rendition n melody in this song is very hard to describe all I can say " Heavenly". Only hearing it can describe how soothing yet poppy it is...:)
Thank you and a very big hatts off to Shreya Ghoshal & AR Ranhman!!! wow!!! We hope to hear more Ar Rahman & Shreya combo..maybe in hindi this time.
Our melody queen always seems to surprise us with all of her songs
One of my most favourite n close to my heart songs of Shreya!
MAANIPAAYA --------->>>>> >>>HEAVENLY!!!! :O)...

Shreya Bags another award!!!
Posted by sanjoy. Mukherjee at 3:13 AM
Noor-E-Khuda!!!
This song is from the blockbuster movie " My name is Khan".
Star Cast : Shahrukh Khan And Kajol!
Director : Karan Johar
Music director : Shankar-Eshaan-Loy
This is our melody queen's first song of the year!!! What a way to start the year!!
This soulful, depth song has been sung by Shankar Mahadevan, Adnan Sami & ofcourse our soulful diva Shreya Ghoshal!!!
This song runs for approx - 6 mins and 37 seconds.
The instruments used are modern instruments as well the classical instruments like tabla to create the sufi mood
The genre is definitely a mixture of country, qawali, Sufi & Classical..
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This awesome rendition starts off with the breathless male singer Shankar Mahadevan singing " Noor -e-khuda" but playing with notes...Then we start to hear the notes of the guitar playing a country tune...
Through out the song Shankar Mahadevan and Adnan Sami shares parts n lines.
Remember how I said this song had a depthfull meaning??
It does, this song's about reaching god, finding god.
Let me now skip to the best part.. You guessed it :- Shreya's Part!!!
Our melodious diva comes in at approx 3:56..singing the aalap " aaaaaaaa" in her own unique, honey soaked voice but playing with the notes..Then she sings just a few sargam lines " Ga ma pa niiiiiiiiiiii......sa ga...." Its very hard to describe the way our princess has sung this song.. It just touches my heart instantly.
After the last few lines of the aalap the tabla comes in and she starts to belt out her soothing voice singing. " Ujde Se Lamhon Ko Aas Teri "... " Khali aankhien khudse sawal kare" asking different questions to god, expressing sorrow and sadness!!
Then she sings " ruh jam si gai...Waqt tham sa gaya..Toote khwabon ke manzar pe..Tera jahan chal diya"
Here are Shreya's next few lines with chorus:-
Noor E Khuda Noor E Khuda - chorus
tu kahan chhupa hai humein yeh bata - Shreya adding her own soothing and classical touch to it, playing with the notes.
Noor E Khuda Noor E Khuda - Chorus
yun naa humse nazarein firaa. - Shankar and Shreya....singing amazingly high notes!!
Here is the review of the song from another site and I completely agree to them
Noor-E-Khuda wants to be gospel until Shreya Ghoshal segues into the track at four minutes of enduring both Shankar Mahadevan and Adnan Sami trying to reach out to God in their feeble pop-ish attempt. Must be something about Saraswati being in the ‘kanth’ of a woman; it’s only when Shreya pitches in that the track begins to take a prayer to the skies."
One of my fav and very close to my heart!!!..Hatts off to our diva and all the singers..WE hope to hear more Shreya Ghoshal and Shankar-Eshaan-Loy combo soon!!!

MMM latest news!!!!
According to our source, "For the upcoming episode that is to be aired this weekend, Shreya had to make an entry, where she had to climb the steps to the stage while simultaneously mouthing a few lines from the soundtrack that was being played. However, Shreya kept stumbling during the shoot, because the nails on the steps kept pulling at her sari. The poor thing couldn't decide on what to concentrate more, the singing or the sari."
The source goes on, "Eventually Shreya asked if she could skip the first few steps, and when the director gave the go ahead, Shreya started climbing the steps from halfway and made the intended grand entry."
Adds the source, "Shreya's challenger in this episode, Shankar Mahadevan, showered Shreya with compliments. Shankar said Shreya looks so gorgeous that she already seems like a winner. And that he doubted whether he would win. Shreya replied gracefully that even if Shankar lost it he should take it as a compliment because Shreya considers him his guru and the victory of a student is always a compliment for the teacher. Shankar too said that he will be happy if indeed Shreya won the face-off."

Zoobi Doobi Nominated!!
Shreya Ghoshal our nightingale has been nominated in the 16 th Star screen awards for "Zoobi doobi" from 3 idiots
Here are the nominations!!
Shreya Ghoshal - Zoobi Doobi
Kavita Seth - Iktara
Shilpa Rao - Mudi Mudi
Sunidhi Chauhan - Mere Sang
Rekha Bhardwaj - Genda Phool
Here is my review of 3 idiots once again.. Read the last few lines!! My prediction came true!!! Not the whole review just highlights..:)
Zoobi doobi - Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam
shreya has shown her versitaile voice in this song. This song starts witth the nightgale's voice in a melodious tune. The lyrics are " gun gunati hain yeh hawaein, gun gunate tah alam........".
Then sonu starts " zoobi doo param pam ".
Throughout the song it's a kind of 60's , 70's feeling.
shreya as always did a wonderful job with this song and the way she sang it i cant describe it in words. The way she changed her pitch and emotions from romantic to goofy, no words for it. Hats off to Shreya di
We havent heard too much of shreya and Sonu's duets in 2008 but then halfway down 2009 we've started hearing more Shreya and sonu duets.
Thankyou Shreya di for giving us such a wonderful song.
This song was composed by Shantu Moitra and sung by shreya and sonu
I have a feeling Shreya di will get nominated for this song and also win it!! :)
