Saalam Aaya - Veer 2010 (HINDI)
"Saalam aaya" is an mesmerising and awesome song from the movie "Veer".
Starcast : Salman Khan, Sohali Khan, Zarine Khan
The track runs for approx 4 mins and 53 seconds. Its a duet between Roop Kumar Rathood and our princess Shreya Ghoshal. It sounds like a romantic number. Salim- Wajid has directed the music of all the tracks in Veer.
The instruments used are :-
1. Santoor
2. Sitar
3. Clapping sticks
4.Synthesiser/keyboard
5.Tabla
There are a lot of traditional Indian instruments used.. :-)
The genre has a mixture of semi classical and folk.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This awesome song starts with the clapping sticks being played and later on being accompanied by a chord played on the sitar. Then supported by a flute playing in the background giving it a folky effect.
The male singer starts singing " daabi daabi sanson mein sunhate meine...".
At approx 0:27 we hear the drums and tablas at work. 0:47 we hear the honey soaked voice of Shreya singing " Jab bole vo jab bole".
At 1:00 Shreya repeats the same lines accompanied by an airy melody played by the violins. 01 :08 Shreya sings " pas pas hi rehna tum..."
Throught out the song we hear Shreya and Roop Kumar Rathood belting out semi- classical tunes to perfection.
My words are just not enough to decribe the mesmerising and fresh effect of the song. One has to hear to believe it. I am speechless..... ;-)
This beautifully composed and sang song ends with the soothing and genle voice of Shreya singing " Saalam aaya.. saalam aaya..."
Hatts off to Shreya and Roop Kumar Rathood. :-)
This will be also one of my favourites Shreya songs. Actually all of Shreya songs are my fav songs. :)

♥♥ Pal Mein Hi - Chance Pe Dance (hindi) ♥♥
This is it guys!!!! The blockbuster hit movie Chance pe dance music is out. Shreya already hinted to us by tweeting saying she has a song in it called "Pal mein hi"
This awesome song runs for approx 4 minutes and 5 seconds. It's a duet betweeen Soham Chakraborty and our crooning princess Shreya Ghoshal. This song has been composed and directed by Adnan Sami. It's a romantic number and has a lot of mexican, latin and spanish beats in it. The genre of this song is definitely pop and jazz....
There are a lot of instruments involved in this song, some of them are :-
1.Piano
2.Synthesiser
3.Drums
5.Guitar
6.Maracus
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The song starts off with the piano playing a beautifull high note melody followed by the nightingale's voice humming "heyyyyyyyyyyy" at 0:04. Then the guitar starts playing a kind of melody supported by chords. The drum starts playing the high hats and snare giving the song a very slow but poppy beat. Then the sequence of chords and melodies repeats itself.
At approx 0:24 Soham starts the song in a low scale singing " hmm pal mein hi mujhko mila pal naya " At 0:39 he amazingly starts to reach those high notes towards the end of the line.
At 0:59 we hear our cronner start " Pal mein hi" but modulating her voice to match the poppy and jazzy beat.
All through the song the duet and especially our cronning princess has done an out standing job and mindblowing job.
The song finally end with the nightingales voice singing the first verse slowly but playing with notes. Hatts off to Shreya and Soham. Shreya has modulated her voice to suite the theme and what an outstanding job she has done.
Thanks to Adnan Sami for choosing Shreya to sing this song. We hope to hear more Adnan Sami songs with Shreya in it soon ;-). Hatts of to Shreya and Soham once again.
we'd all agree that we've heard a different melodious and versatile Shreya in this song. Thank you so much Shreya for such a wondeful song ;-)
This will aslo be 1 of my all time Shreya favourites...
Ps ; Veer - Saalam aaye coming soon :-)

Rang Diya Dil - Dulha Milgaya (Hindi)
Again another blockbuster hit movie song!!!! . This song approxiamately run for 5 mins and 25 seconds. This song is a solo of the crooning princess and is composed by Lalit- Jatin. The song somewhat has a mixture of classical, folk and a poppy touch to it.
Classical - The way Shreya beautifully plays with the notes when she sings "ranjhana" and the antaras.
Folk - All the traditional instruments being used and again also the way Shreya sings it with her honey soaked voice.
Poppy - It has a poppy beat to it. The way the guitar is played...
▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▼▲▼▲▼
The song starts off with the beautifully played chords of the guitar supported by the beautifull notes and melody of the flute. At 0:11 we hear the nightinagle's voice starting off with " Rang diya dil meine pyaar wale rand dholna ". The second time a bit of the lyrics changes " rand diya dil meine pyaar wale rand gholna"
After 2:29 we hear the drums playing a poppy beat along with flute playing some sort of a melody.
At 01:00 we hear Shreya humming " ho,ho,ho,ho,hoo,ho,ho.ho" The melody for all the four verses are same and very melodious.
At 3:34 we hear a group/choir humming " aaaaaaaaaaaaa" while Shreya sings "ranjhana" reaching amazingly high notes as usual, giving the song an uplift..
The antaras " jah bhi gayi mere hi sang dholna " are repeated several times during the song. The cronner has really really sung this antara so well with so much love and expression.
The song ends with the honey soaked and soothing voice of Shreya singing and repeating the first lines but playing beautilfully with the notes.
Hatts off to Shreya and thanks to Lalit-Jatin for such an amazing composition. We hope to hear more Lalit-Jatin songs with Shreya in it soon ;)
This as well as all of her other songs will be my all time favourites of Shreya. ;-)........
Ps : Saalam aaya and Pal mein hi review coming soon :).... - rocking music....

Suryakaanti - Kannada
Music director : Ilayaraja
Lyrics : Kaviraj
In this song Shreya has lent her voice to the actress Regina Cassandra.
Edeya Baagilu
This track runs for approximately 5 minutes and 30 seconds. This song is a mixture of jazz and karnatic music. It is a duet sung by Kunal Gunjawala and the ever so versatile Shreya. The track starts of with a symphony or orchestra with strings and later accompanied by the piano playing the melody until the male starts. At 1:10 we hear the honey soaked soothing voice of Shreya. It is a romantic number and has a naughty touch to it. All through the song we hear Shreya and Kunal belting out their voices. The song end with the soothing voice of Shreya singing in english. " Edeya baagilu thattinodu..... without you how can I live, oh my love, love is my life... edeya baagilu thattinodu"
Chan channare
This song is a foot tapping song that Shreya has sung. It's a solo and mostly is accompanied by the saxophone and the harmonica. In this song Shreya sounds very cute. It has kids singing at the begining and in the middle. The cronner has belted out a soulful and funfilled melody. Remeber the song in Chanchal "Mein chanchal maat waali... poolo ki dali"
Over all :-
Shreya has belted out some soulful melodies for "edeya baagilu" and some foot tapping melody for " Chan channare". Ilayaraja sir once again has showed his magic and has choosen our princess to sing two songs in this movie. We hope to hear more Ilayaraja songs with Shreya Ghoshal in it in the future. ;-)
